During the second quarter of 2021, the top five news and magazine apps on the Android platform in Kuwait showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

نبض Nabd - اخبار العالم ، عاجل, published by Nabd Ltd, experienced consistent weekly downloads, with a notable peak of approximately 2.5K in the week of April 19. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at around 40.4K in the same week. Despite these trends, the app did not generate any revenue during this period.

ShilAkhbar | شالأخبار, from Mahatat Inc, had a varied download pattern, peaking at about 1.5K downloads in the last week of June. Although the app did not generate any revenue, it continued to attract new users steadily.

Dailyhunt Xpresso News Cricket, by Eterno Infotech, saw a significant increase in downloads, peaking at roughly 2K in the week of May 24. The app's weekly active users showed an upward trend, reaching a high of around 91K in the same week. Like the other apps, it did not generate revenue during this period.

القبس, published by WAVAI, had a more stable download rate with a peak of 1.4K in mid-April. The app saw its highest weekly revenue of approximately $3.7K in the week of April 12, before experiencing a decline to around $425 by the end of June.

Hindi News by Dainik Bhaskar, from Dainik Bhaskar Group, also showed varied download numbers, peaking at roughly 1.1K in the week of May 24. The app's active users increased, reaching about 5.6K during the same period. Similar to the others, it did not generate any revenue in Q2 2021.
